List of facilities available at IITD Hospital

  • OPD (Allopathy & Homeopathy):

    PPatients are registered at the reception and are seen on first come, first serve basis, however out of turn consultation may be provided in case of emergency and senior citizen. Patients have the right to consult any doctor. In OPD, clinical consultation is provided to patients which includes history taking, clinical examination, diagnosis and providing prescription to patients besides advising laboratory tests in some cases. OPD has a waiting hall with chairs, public utilities like drinking water and toilets. Sub waiting areas are available in front of individual consultation rooms. Wheelchairs, trolleys and attendants are there to help very sick patients.

  • Dental facility:

    An experienced Dental surgeon provides procedures like Dental Extractions, RCT, Scaling /Cleaning, Fillings, Local curettage.

  • Emergency & Ward/ Indoor facility:

    Emergency facility is available (24 hrs. x 7 days). Ward facilities for observation and management of medical problems like typhoid, acute gastroenteritis, COPD, bronchial asthma, malaria, viral fever, pneumonias etc. There are 3 wards, one special room and one well equipped emergency.

  • Minor OT/ Dressing Room:

    Provides services for minor surgical procedures like dressing of lacerated wound, suturing of minor lacerations & resuturing.

  • Physiotherapy:

    Range of physiotherapy services to assist the patients to recover from wide range of musculoskeletal painful disorders. Available modalities are MWD, SWD, U/S, TENS, IFC laser therapy traction unit, magnolia.

  • Laboratory services:
    1. In House Pathology Laboratory:

      Sample collection time for Basic Composite Pathology Laboratory, IIT Delhi is 8 am to 10.30 am and is up to 11:00 am for students while emergency tests like Blood sugar, platelet count & blood grouping done in emergent cases throughout OPD hours.

    2. Outsourced Pathology Laboratory:

      TTrained laboratory staff are providing best services which include painless antiseptic blood withdrawal technique and basic tests. Services of one NABL accredited laboratory are also available for carrying out specialized tests, they collect sample from

      • 8.00 AM to 2.00 PM (Monday to Friday)
      • 9.00AM to 12.00PM (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays,)

    Emergency tests like Blood sugar, platelet count & blood grouping done in emergent cases throughout OPD hours.

  • ECG Services:

    24-hour ECG services are provided by trained staff.

  • Pharmacy:

    In House Pharmacy provides free reliable quality medicines to beneficiaries on doctor’s prescription during OPD hours from 8 am to 8 pm directly sent to pharmacy through ERP system. The medicines not available are provided by supply order signed by prescribing doctor which can be collected from Apollo Pharmacy on Campus.

  • Radiology facility:

    Digital Radiology Facility and Dental OPG X-ray facility is available from Monday to Friday.

  • Ambulance Services:

    Basic Life Support Ambulance and PTA are available (24 hrs. x 7 days). Patients are transported from home (on campus) to IIT hospital and patients referred by emergency duty doctor to AIIMS/SJH and empanelled hospital for specialized care
